Bring back blogs!

Apparently blogging is back in fashion and it's time to get back into the groove!

On December 31st, 2022, I came across a post on Mastodon about blogging and how it's important to start again. The post challenged users to create at least three blog posts in January of 2023.

I decided to take on the challenge and began by upgrading the code behind my blog, which had been using an ancient version of Node.js. This also gave me the perfect opportunity to migrate the website to my new server, which I had already been renting for almost two months.

The process took a bit longer than I anticipated, but as of today (January 14th), I am proud to say that I have completed my first out of three blog posts for the month.
(Yes, this is it. Don't judge.)

The upgrade and migration process was worth it, as my blog is now running on the latest technology and is hosted on my new server. Future proof! 🥳

I like the idea of blogging, though actually putting the time in has always been the big issue for me.
The “Bring Back Blogs” challenge is hopefully a great way to kickstart the habbit again, and I hope to see plenty of new blogs in 2023.
